We are often asked "why Dexters?". The answer is: "We tasted them!"
So for the last 16 years we have been breeding for cattle : - That thrive strictly on unimproved grass alone, throughout their entire lives and at any time of year - That are excellent mothers - That are fertile - That are quick maturing - That are good natured - That are long lasting - That have good beef conformation We are a beef herd first and foremost and keep away from the show ring in order to ensure our Dexter cattle meet our management and customer's needs rather than a judge's ideal. It has been a long road to introduce consistency to the herd. As we are expanding and beef anything below par, we rarely have females for sale, however we offer bull hire and are working towards on farm auctions for the serious, discerning farmer or breeder, offering consistent, reliable bulls and females guaranteed to meet the above standards and do you, the breed and us proud!
